How Can I Buy More Time?

If you already have an account with TengoInternet and wish to buy additional time, click the following link, select your location from the drop-down menu below. (Note: Please check with the front office if you are unsure of the name of your location as campgrounds often go by multiple names.) Once you have selected your location, you will see the original TengoInternet login page. Enter your User Name and Password. Once you have logged in to your account, select “Returning Customers: Manage Your Account.” This brings you to your Account Management Portal, where you select the Subscription Services Tab, then select the Buy a Plan Tab, select the desired plan, click the Terms and Conditions checkbox, and click Submit to purchase a new plan.

If you purchased the TengoInternet service from the campground office, simply return to the office to purchase additional pre-paid coupons with access codes.

Select your location and press Go.

Where can I find TengoInternet™ service?

See our TengoZone Locations page for a complete list of current locations.

How can I purchase the service?

  1. TengoInternet’s wireless internet service can only be purchased at a TengoZone location. While at a location, you can purchase the service online during your registration process or pre-paid cards at the front desk.
  2. If you purchase the TengoInternet service online, simply select “Purchase Access” from the Welcome Screen and you will be guided through a 3-step process to select and purchase a plan.
  3. Some campgrounds also offer pre-paid cards for sale at their register.  At these campgrounds, the campground staff will provide you with a “coupon sticker” with the code necessary for log-in along with a “user guide”.

What hardware or software do I need to access the service?
See "Getting Connected" for minimum hardware and software requirements. You do not need any additional software; just a browser and a Wi-Fi certified adapter.

How do I configure my Wi-Fi card to detect the TengoInternet service?
Windows XP and Apple OSX should automatically detect settings. If not or you have a previous OS, open your Wi-Fi card software (use the Pronto info.), using the appropriate method dictated by your card manufacturer, and set the following parameters:

  1. Select "Infrastructure Mode"
  2. SSID to "tengointernet" (do not include the quotes).
  3. Select WEP/Encryption Disabled.

What is "SSID"?
The System Set Identifier (SSID) is the identifying name of an 802.11 wireless network. It differentiates one Wireless LAN (WLAN) from another, so all access points and all devices attempting to connect to a specific WLAN must use the same SSID. An SSID is also referred to as a Network Name because essentially it is a name that identifies a wireless network. When you specify your correct SSID in your client setup you ensure that you connect to your wireless network rather than another network in range. You can configure this using your Client Configuration utility or Network Connections Settings.
