Logging On

FOUR STEPS TO WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS:

  1. Ensure you and your computer are in a TengoZone (i.e. the Wi-Fi covered area at your location). Our service cannot be purchased or accessed outside of our locations.
  2. Insert or enable your wireless card/adapter or plug in Ethernet cable, then turn on your computer. Many of the newer computers have the card built-in. Consult your computer’s manual to know for sure. If you are using an external wireless card/adapter, check to see if you have a wireless signal. If not, make sure that your card is configured correctly, including the SSID or Network Name of "tengointernet" and disabling WEP security which can be found on your card/adapter Client Manager or under your Network and Dial-up Connections. (Ask the front office of your location for a green and white brochure titled “User Guide” which provides step-by-step login instructions and several helpful tips.)
  3. Open a browser window (Internet Explorer or Netscape). If the browser window does not display properly and you do not see the TengoInternet welcome screen, your laptop may not be configured for DHCP or your wireless card may not be configured correctly and you will need to change your settings. These settings are located by clicking Tools, then Connections, then LAN Connection in your browser’s toolbar. Or, call our 24x7 toll-free customer care line at 1-866-968-3646 (866-YOTENGO) for assistance.
  4. Select whether you are a New or Returning Customer. If you are a returning customer, enter your User Name and Password to login. If you are a new customer, to purchase time, enter credit card or a “coupon” with access codes that you obtained from the front office. (Note: Coupons are not available at all locations.)
